THE BENEFITS OF GAMES IN EDUCATION.
That children
with different abilities play together is very positive for the
development of all the children because together the children observe
each other, learn and progress together. In
addition, it is an opportunity to develop social skills such as empathy,
patience, respect ... and work together on complex topics.
The game is something natural in these ages so, why not take advantage of it to learn and review?
THE SCIENCE GAMES
Here are some of the games that I have used for the first units:
GAME: RAISE YOUR BOARD!
Our students were separated into three groups with one chalkboard per a team.
We reviewed science concepts as well as English writing , spelling and pronunciation through a mini quiz.
The students listened to a question in English and had time to discuss it with their team.
Then they had three seconds before they had to raise their board to show their answer.
If they wrote the correct answer and pronounced it correctly, their team received one point.
The team with the most points at the end won the game.
GAME: CONNECT 4
Our students reviewed vocabulary in English and Spanish with a game called CONNECT 4. The game consisted of listening to a question in English, pointing to the corresponding picture on the interactive board, and translating the answer to Spanish. If they answered correctly, they put their blue or yellow chip in the grid to help their team create a sequence of four blue or four yellow chips to win the game.
LOS BENEFICIOS DE LOS JUEGOS EN LA EDUCACIÓN. Que
los niños con habilidades diferentes jueguen juntos es muy positivo
para el desarrollo de todos los niños porque juntos se observan,
aprenden y progresan juntos. Además, es una
oportunidad para desarrollar habilidades sociales como la empatía, la
paciencia, el respeto ... y trabajar juntos en temas complejos.
El juego es algo natural en estas edades, así que, ¿por qué no aprovecharlo para aprender y repasar los contenidos de Ciencias?
JUEGOS EN CIENCIAS
A continuación podreis ver algunos de los juegos que he usado para trabajar estas primeras unidades :
¡LEVANTAD VUESTRAS PIZARRAS!
Para desarrollar este juego separaremos a nuestros alumnos en tres grupos, cada grupo tendrá una pequeña pizarra de tiza.
Utilizaremos
este juego para repasar los conceptos de ciencias relativos a la unidad
así como la pronunciacíon , escritura y deteletreo a través de un
pequeño test.
Los estudiantes escucharán la pregunta en inglés y dispondrán de tiempo para dialogar con su equipo .
A continuación , decimos en voz alta 1 2 3 .. Raise your board!!
y los alumnos y alumnas deben dejar la tiza , levantar su pizarra y mostrar la respuesta.
Si ellos escribieron la respuesta correcta y la pronunciaron correctamente su equipo recibirá un punto.
El equipo que más puntos tenga al final ganará el juego.
CONECTA 4
Nuestros estudiantes repasan el vocabulario en inglés y español de cada unidad con un juego llamado: CONECTA 4.
El juego consiste en escuchar una palabra en inglés que ellos deben señalar dentro de un dibujo que tenemos en la pizarra digital y a continuación deben decirla en español. Si ellos responden correctamente podrán insertar su ficha azul o amarilla dentro del tablero de juego. El equipo que antes realice las cuatro en línea gana la partida.
