MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

Durante la semana previa a las vacaciones de Navidad ,nuestro alumnado ha realizado actividades ,en lengua inglesa, tanto en el área de ingĺés como en las asignaturas bilingües ( Ciencias y Plástica).

ACTIVIDADES

- Actividades y juegos de vocabulario. El alumnado del centro ha aprendido el vocabulario típico de estas fechas : Snowman , snowflake, Christmas tree, Candy cane, Christmas Cards, Christmas Carol, chimney, elf, ornament, candle, Santa Claus, present, jingle, reindeer...

Lo han hecho  a través de divertidos juegos  interactivos junto a  nuestra auxiliar de conversación .

- Los alumnos y alumnas de todos los cursos han  aprendido un Christmas carol ( villancico) titulado  " WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS" para interpretarlo en nuestro festival navideño

 

 

- En artística,  han  realizado unas preciosas Christmas cards  para felicitar las fiestas a sus seres queridos.

  

 

En artística , han realizado un  taller de reciclaje en el que han  transformado dos cajas en personajes típicos de la Navidad anglosajona como son : Santa Claus y Rudolph the red-nosed  reindeer

RELIEF OF SPAIN

Con el objetivo de conocer el relieve de España,  uno de los territorios de Europa con mayor altitud media por la gran cantidad de montañas y cordilleras que posee , hemos realizado un Proyecto de trabajo.

Para llevarlo a cabo nos hemos inspirado en  los pasos del Proyecto ABP  descritos en la web del pupitre a las estrellas.

En primer lugar , localizamos los elementos más importantes del relieve en un mapa formato papel utilizando fuentes bibliográficas o recursos digitales y los visualizamos además en la pizarra digital.

A continuación dividimos la clase en grupos de 3 o 4 alumnos y alumnas, reflexionan sobre  el material que van a utilizar para realizar su proyecto , lo preparan  y comienzan a pintar y a poner capas de plastilina con diferentes altitudes .

El siguiente paso es  la identificación de cada uno de los elementos del relieve con banderines fabricados con palillos y cartulina de colores.

 Una vez terminada su maqueta  han preparado su exposición atendiendo a unas pautas establecidas y lo han expuesto ante sus compañeros y compañeras de clase  con el objetivo de desarrollar la competencia comunicativa del alumnado.

Esta actividad  aporta grandes beneficios al alumnado pues nos solo les ayuda a interiorizar los contenidos de la unidad de forma lúdica, sino que además les ayuda a desarrollar diferentes competencias como  ‘aprender a aprender’: aprender de lo que otros compañeros y compañeras saben , construir  su propio conocimiento a través de la interacción con sus compañeros, procesar la información conjuntamente y  dar con una solución única. También se fomenta el desempeño de roles en el grupo.

Además aumenta la autoestima de los alumnos, su motivación e interés, mejora la  autonomía y responsabilidad  y la independiente de sus decisiones.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a federal holiday in the United States, celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November.Taylor, our conversation assistant , teach us about thanksgiving history, traditions, most famous parade and typical food through video, explanations , vocabulary games and funny Thanksgiving crafts!!

Acción de gracias es un fiesta nacional en Estados Unidos , que se celebra el último jueves de noviembre. Taylor, nuestra auxiliar de conversación, nos ha enseñado la historia, tradiciones, desfiles más famosos y comida típica de estas fechas a través de videos, explicaciones apoyadas en una presentación con  power point,  juegos de vocabulario y divertidas manualidades de acción de gracias.

Juego:

Primero presentamos el vocabulario a través de  Flashcards y después  jugamos al  bingo de las partes del cuerpo mostrando las tarjetas de vocabulario aleatoriamente usando  y poniendo una ficha sobre la imagen que corresponda en su  tarjetas de bingo.

HALLOWEEN CRAFTS

Our students have made different crafts related to Halloween using recycling material and lots of imagination.

Our school has been decorated with vampires, pumpkins, monsters and skeletons.

It has been terrifyingly fun!

Nuestros estudiantes han hecho diferentes manualidades relacionadas con Halloween usando material de reciclaje y mucha imaginación.    

 Nuestra escuela ha sido  decorada con vampiros, calabazas, monstruos y esqueletos.     

 ¡Ha sido terroríficamente divertido!

PARTS OF A PLANT

A plant has many parts. Different parts perform different functionalities.

In order for students to recognize the differents parts of a plant and their functions we are going to make differents activities .

In pairs the students read the text and find the functions of the differents parts of a plant  and match them.

Then they paste them in their notebooks

PARTS OF A FLOWER

Flower

Flowers are the reproductive organs of the flowering plant.

The main structures of a flower include:

• Sepal - The sepal is a support structure for the petal. It is typically green and helps to protect and hold up the petal. All the sepals together are called the calyx.
• Petal - The petals are the bright colorful leaves of the flower. The petals are often bright and colorful in order to attract insects that help with pollination. All of the petals together are called the corolla.
• Stamen - The stamen is the part of the flower that produces pollen. There are two main parts of the stamen: the filament and anther.
• Filament - The filament is the stalk that holds the anther.
• Anther - The anther is made up of lobes that attach to the filament. These lobes hold sacs which contain pollen.
• Pistil - The pistil is the female part of the flower. It contains the carpel and the stigma.
• Stigma - The stigma is the area where pollen is received. The stigma may be located at the end of a stalk called the style.
•  Ovary of the flower and contains ovules which are potential seeds. 

Activities:

To recognize the differents parts of a flower and their functions in plants reproduction we  will do the following activities:
